OSUN COLLEGE OF NURSING

Osun State School of Nursing and Midwifery is  
made up two schools :
School of Nursing and School of Midwifery with both running :
Basic Nursing RN 3 years
Basic Midwifery RM 3 years 
Postbasic Midwifery 1½ year
Postbasic Nursing 1½ year

Registration into the school is done via the school website.

The school has moved from being named School of Nursing and Midwifery to College of Nursing Sciences, Osogbo, Osun State where a student will be opportune to finish in 4 years with 1-year compulsory internship in order to bag HND certificate with RN/RM license with an extra certificate option in either RN/RM or RPHN as most of schools of Nursing are no longer running the traditional 3 year RN/M programmes while the Post-basic Nursing and Midwifery programmes are getting phased out.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) along with JAMB wants to supervise accreditation, supervision, admission and graduation of Nursing students and nursing education so as to prevent over-admission and quackery.

All admissions to Colleges of Nursing will be conducted via JAMB UTEM and POST-UTME exercises as it is applicable in University.

Least qualification for admission with or without JAMB in the past and present is five O'level credits in Physics Chemistry Biology Mathematics English in WAEC and NECO SSCEwith not more than 2 sittings.

The school is located in the serene and tranquil environment of  State Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo where is easy access to basic amenities like water, electricity, security and markets.

The school is located between COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES, OSUN STATE UNIVERSITY and UNIVERSITY OF OSUN TEACHING HOSPITAL.

Having passed qualifying exams and tests, the school may decide to further conduct oral interviews having checked O'level results and other credentials.

Accommodation is available on campus and off-campus .
