Lagos Exam Fiasco and Scam: Lagos Government Foolish Attempt at Online Assessment for Secondary School Students
Many students of Lagos State secondary schools along with their siblings, parents, guardians, friends were disappointed and disgusted by sham online assessment with their inability to easily access a proprofs.com website employed to carry out accessment of Lagos secondary school students having allegedly attended online lessons on the radio
The exam was conducted in the early morning of Saturday from 10am on the 26th September, 2020. The students and parents had to try zillion times before they could access a page on where to put in their Email address and names for each level of exam JS1-ss2. Navigating the page was possible at a particular time using opera mini while some tried using Google Chrome and safari on iPhone.
Errors were reported for difficulty accessing the page(s) after several attempts. Rumour started spreading in no time that the web assessment has been cancelled or postponed. This is an unfortunate incidence with education in Lagos which is referred to as centre of excellence. LAGOS is now centre of attempt for embezzlement. Remember, how the speaker of the house of assembly exonerated himself with the verdict passed on him from the perennially corrupt LAGOS state house of assdmbly. The allegations of corruption with political allies and figures in Lagos deserve focus as an individual as put lagos in siege spiritually and physically to prevent radical change for progress and accountability.
Edo has proven it's not under the control of one man. Ekiti, Oyo, ondo, imo have determined their fate by refusing continued loyalty and obedience to parasitic democratic actors. LAGOS needs a bigger deliverance from the shackles of Tinubu and cod. Public schools are just for decorating LAGOS monumentally despite the IGR raised by Lagos State.
The website does not in any way represent the future of Lagos and talented lagosian but obvious lack of strategic planning for education using information technology. This is abuse of resources and wanton disregard for the members of the public. How can you keep children under lockdown for five months and tell them to resume for post 1 week resumption assessment.
Whichever excuses LAGOS residents still will hear from Lagos government ,I think LAGOS residents are taken for granted while they are yet to see what APC will do to assuage the the ruinous damages of prolonged eased lockdown that is increasing the poverty and economic woes indices on a daily nationally and in Lagos.
The website became unavailably accessible by some minutes to twelve o clock in the noon.
This is a yardstick for accessing poor performance by LAGOS state government towards education.
A small information technology firm can easily execute it without stress and any political involvement .
Only few students recorded success .This is just like 0.01% of the secondary school students who actively or passively participated in the exam.
I would like to say this is wonderful display of arrant nonsense and poor public relations of Lagos State government with LAGOS residents.
I believe LAGOS residents don't deserve this rubbish from this government. Is this the unnecessary drill and lip service the lagos government has been doing with education, health, transpotation, entertainment, tourism .
I think LAGOS residents deserve due apology .They derserve good education, good roads, accessible and affordable health systems, etc. Ambode should be laughing at Sanwo-olu right now.
